Project Paced for ChatGPT

Project Paced connects to ChatGPT as a custom app, so you can create and maintain project timelines without leaving the conversation. ChatGPT can turn a project brief into a dated timeline, report on team capacity, read your weekly PMO status report, and update milestones directly.

The connection uses the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external systems. OpenAI renamed connectors to apps in December 2025, but the setup still lives under Apps & Connectors and existing connector behaviour is unchanged.

What ChatGPT can do once connected

• Generate a full project timeline from a plain description of the work
• List your projects and retrieve any timeline with its milestones
• Report on who is over-allocated across the portfolio, and over which months
• Read the Command Centre project health view, including key person risk and available capacity
• Read the weekly PMO status report, including RAG status, trend and decisions needed
• Update milestone dates and completion status

Read-only tools do not consume an AI timeline generation from your plan allowance.

Connect ChatGPT

Available on ChatGPT Pro, Plus, Business and Enterprise plans.

1. Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors
2. Turn on Developer Mode if your workspace requires it
3. Create or import a custom app from a remote MCP server
4. Enter https://mcp.projectpaced.com/mcp
5. Select OAuth as the authentication method
6. Choose your instance, Global or EU, then complete the Project Paced sign-in

Once connected, enable Project Paced from the tools or apps menu inside a chat.

On Business and Enterprise workspaces, a workspace administrator may need to approve the app before it becomes available to members.

• "Summarise the Command Centre health for the Atlas rollout"
• "Show me the latest weekly update and tell me what needs a decision"
• "Move the beta launch milestone to 15 July and mark discovery as complete"

Plans and limits

Reading Command Centre dashboards and status reports does not count against timeline generation limits.

Data handling

The app transmits only the data required for the tool call you ask ChatGPT to run. Organisations with an EU residency requirement can connect to the European instance by selecting EU during sign-in, which routes every request to our EU backend.
